Who am I?
My name is Aoife, I was brought up in an international background, with a French mother and an Irish father. From a very young age, I have wondered about how emotions express through the body and creation. I have gone on a long quest of inner encounter, to connect deeply with my shadows and my childhood. Having become a mother has been crucial in my transformation and upfliting on my inner journey of transgenerational healing and paradigm shifting. I have come to realize how powerful the process of pregnancy is in how it enables to open doors in our psyche and expand our consciousness. Before my pregnancy, I was working as a teacher in schools and universities, wishing to connect my students with their body, their voice and creativity through group work and enactment. It was my deepest wish to see them smile and express themselves from their heart as they were cultivating joy to learn a foreign language in a context of self-exploration and connection to others with no straight rule on what they had to say. I realized how much suffering was induced in the fact that so little space is made for children and youngsters to raise their voices and express their creativity. I had been struggling with it too, for so long. Being able to work as a teacher has been very healing for me in that sense and made me gain awareness in what I truly wished to pass on and share in this world. The birth of my son Tao, as well as his conception, have been an immense blessing to my soul. When I first saw him come out of me with such beauty and power, as he queaked and stretched like a baby bird, as I gazed into his eyes, saw his soul and felt like I had known him forever. "Welcome home" is what I felt in my whole being.. The words that came out were "my son", as I reached toward the midwife to hold him. The birth of my child was a death as well as a rebirth. I wish to share my passion for emotional release, body and mind transformation toward oneness and love, on an individual as well as collective scale by putting an emphasis on pregnancy and early childhood/ infancy, both physically and symbolically.
